More pressure for more efficiency: the common rail direct injection in the BMW 530d and 535d operates at a peak pressure of 1,800 bar while the injectors positioned in the centre of the combustion chambers guarantee a smooth and constant combustion process. The BMW TwinPower Turbo of the BMW 535d unites these innovative technologies with two turbochargers of different sizes, a variable nozzle turbocharger and light-weight construction. The result is smooth running and an extremely responsive straight six-cylinder drive train with 220 kW (300 hp) and economical average consumption of 6.7 l/100 km. In the BMW 530d the common rail direct injection combined with three litres of capacity and a turbocharging system with variable inlet geometry provide an impressive 540 Nm torque from just 1,750 rpm.
Combined fuel consumption from 6.5 to 7.1 l/100 km
Combined CO2 emissions from 173 to 187 g/km
All of the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo models meet EU5 standards.
