BMW Assist puts you in control of your travel plans. Up-to-date traffic information, congestion reports and alternative route suggestions can be called up at the press of a button, plus information about hotels, restaurants and other useful addresses. These can be entered directly in the navigation system. Its automatic emergency call feature and breakdown assistance request, including vehicle location data, enhances your safety.

BMW Online.

BMW Online is an internet-based feature which can be used to read or send e-mails and offers individually tailored information services including news and business updates, sports results and flight schedules. With its address book feature and e-mail function, BMW Online transforms your BMW 1 Series Coupé into a mobile office. Optional Professional navigation system with integrated Bluetooth mobile phone preparation required.

The cordless Bluetooth mobile phone means you can do away with the cumbersome cable between your mobile handset and the hands-free equipment. Bluetooth-compatible mobile phones register with the on-board computer via the optional interface as soon as the driver approaches the vehicle. Telephone numbers, addresses and call lists are then automatically synchronised with the on-board computer. During the journey, the mobile phone can be operated using the multifunction steering wheel or the hands-free equipment. There is a snap-in-adapter available for the Apple iPhone. You local BMW Service Centre will be happy to inform you of the mobile phones with which the Bluetooth interface is compatible.

An adjunct to the optional BMW Professional navigation system in the BMW 1 Series Coupé, Voice Control puts your words into instant action. It enables you to adjust any of the central iDrive functions by speech alone. It even offers a text-to-speech function that can read incoming e-mails aloud. Convenience, safety, comfort: Voice Control ensures that you are not distracted from the most important aspect of the BMW 1 Series Coupé - driving.

Maps and directions are displayed on the foldable high-resolution 6.5-inch screen. The optional Business navigation system (incl. Professional radio with CD and DVD drive and Voice Control) displays arrows to direct you to your destination.
